Introduction

Scientists at Lumora have invented and patented a number of key technologies which will simplify and reduce the cost of molecular diagnostic testing. At the heart of the company is our detection system, BART (Bioluminescent Assay in Real Time), which is described in detail here.

We also have a proprietary technology which utilises Stem Primers to enable sensitive and specific isothermal amplification of nclueic acid targets. In addition Lumora has invented a novel approch to sample preparation which complements our simplification and detection technologies, allowing rapid preparation of nucleic acid from crude samples with very few operator steps.
